Danaca Design Studio is a jewelry and small-scale metal working facility located in the University District of Seattle. We offer wide ranging classes for individuals seeking to gain skills in the art of decorative metal working and jewelry design. Our studio is well equipped for jewelry fabrication and small-scale hollowware, enameling, PMC and stone setting. Class sizes are limited resulting in intensive teacher student contact, effortless group interaction and a dynamic sense of community and support among participants.
Our curriculum is intended to develop technical, designing and problem solving skills at every level. We schedule a variety of instructors, local and national, each quarter and offer a range of both technical and project based classes as well as courses in professional development. Designed to fit any lifestyle, you will find one-day “quickies”, weekend workshops, one-week intensives, and consecutive week-night classes on our schedule. In addition to structured classes, we offer alternative learning opportunities such as Mentored Independent Study, private instruction and Practice Hours. Our goal is to give every student the opportunity to be productive and creative at their comfort level; to hone skills, and gain new abilities; to stretch, grow and experience personal achievement.
Danaca Design Studio also houses a stylish and totally unique store-front gallery featuring regional jewelry artists, both professional and amateur. Lastly, for the convenience of our community, we also offer a selection of basic jewelry fabrication tools, both commercial and handmade, and a limited selection of jewelry making supplies in the mercantile section of the studio.
