Open Studio and Studio Maintenance
Open Studio Hours – Summer 2010
- Thursdays 5-9pm (Chasing circle starts again 9/23)
- Fridays 4-8pm (No open 8/27, 9/10; Late open 8/13 (5-8pm))
- Sundays 4-8pm (No open 7/4; Late open 8/1, 8/22, 8/29, 9/12 (5-8pm))
- Saturdays 12-6pm (7/3, 7/10, 8/7, 9/25)
Rate
- $12/hour, $100/month, or $270/calendar quarter
Open Studio Terms
- – Everyone using the studio must complete the required written test and sign the waiver.
- – Consumable materials such as metal, saw blades, drill bits, and solder are not included in the Open Studio rate. Flux is provided.
- – A monitor must be present to have the studio open.
- – The monitor is not your instructor. Monitors are here for the safety of both you and the studio. Our monitors are super nice and will likely help you any way they can however remember they are also in the studio to get some work done.
- – No more than 8 people plus a monitor are allowed to work in the studio at any given time. Preference will be given to quarterly participants on a first come first serve basis. Hourly participants will have to give up their spot in the case of an over load. In this case hourly participants can "round down" their payment for that particular session.
- – Our space is limited, please be conscientious by making room for new arrivals and not overflowing into your neighbor's space too much.
- – Eating and drinking in the studio is not a good idea however if you create better art while indulging please be advised that danacadesign and the metal crafting center will not be held responsible for any ramifications of this action.
- – If you have not been introduced to a tool, don't use it. If you can't remember exactly how to use a tool, ask the monitor to refresh your memory.
